GORD conducted a three-day GSAS-CGP Workshop for October 2015
Gulf Organization for Research & Development (GORD), the hub for sustainability in the MENA region, has organized GSAS – CERTIFIED GREEN PROFESSIONAL (CGP) Workshop at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) from October 13th to 15th, 2015.
The three-day training workshop aim to empower industry professionals, senior consultants and engineers on “how to create sustainable building projects which minimize ecological impact while addressing the specific sustainable needs of the region".
The workshop was attended by 36 professional engineers from different disciplines representing different sectors of the industry such as; consulting firms, contracting companies, master developers, government bodies, building material companies and many others.
Dr. Alhorr praised the audience for their trust in GORD & GSAS which underlines the growing interest in the Global Sustainability Assessment System as an international benchmark for green building development.
The GSAS-CGP training workshop program offers:
- Training to become GSAS – Certified Green Professional.
- Latest knowledge and understanding of GSAS green building practices and principles, and how to apply them.
- Guidance to GSAS procedures, tools, applications and assessment requirements.
- Necessary educational materials to support professionals during their practice.
Within the same context, GORD has announced the release of the “GSAS Technical Guide 2015 – issue 2”.
