UNOSSC announces GORD as a featured partner

The Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) has been featured as a key partner to the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) in its Global South-South and Triangular Cooperation initiatives.
The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation is mandated by the United Nations Development Programme to promote, coordinate and support South-South and triangular cooperation globally and within the United Nations system.
Following its MOU with UNOSSC signed at COP29, GORD Institute is serving as the innovation hub for future activities with UNOSSC’s Solutions Lab. GORD Institute will also contribute two of its flagship technologies to the UNOSSC’s South-South Galaxy, their proprietary global knowledge sharing and partnership brokering platform.
GORD’s solutions featured by UNOSSC include the award winning Synergia9n1 – an ultraefficient, multimodal cooling system for open and enclosed spaces with significantly lower energy footprint, as well as Energia AI Suite – a performance-based energy assessment tool used for building projects to enhance their energy efficiency.
GORD’s ongoing collaboration with UNOSSC is aimed at leveraging the collective expertise, resources, and solutions within the Global South, as well as through triangular cooperation with the Global North. Central to the collaboration is the goal to utilize the Lab as a platform to foster innovation, share knowledge, and scale solutions that can have an impact across the Global South and North.
Alongside other partners, GORD and UNOSSC are working on creating a portfolio of technological solutions, organized by specific thematic areas. These portfolios will be designed to address challenges in sectors such as climate action, clean energy, health, water, and sustainable agriculture. By actively identifying strategic pathways for scaling up these solutions, the Solutions Lab aims to ensure that the impact of these initiatives is maximized at global, regional, and local levels. Furthermore, the Solutions Lab will actively engage new partners to join these initiatives, exploring practical financing solutions to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of these programs.
Together, the partners of the Solutions Lab will evaluate the innovation potential of solutions, with an emphasis on measuring their impact. They will work closely to advocate for greater innovation within the context of South-South and Triangular Cooperation, ensuring that these efforts are properly evaluated and the results communicated effectively to stakeholders. This will create a feedback loop that informs future development initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and greater impact.
