Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Vice President – Research, Murray Gray accompanied by Science, Engineering & Technology College Dean, Dr. Mounir Hamdi made a visit to GORD Headquarter in QSTP on September 28, 2014. The meeting was attended by GORD’s Founding Chairman Dr. Yousef Alhorr.

Both parties shared thoughts & ideas concerning mutual cooperation. Dr. Yousef Alhorr discussed GORD involvement in developing sustainability and green buildings standards, conducting applied research & engaging in education & outreach activities. 

HBKU’s Vice President – Research, Murray Gray highlighted HBKU research activities & community outreach, he further commented: HBKU has its own faculty as well as partnership with 8 international universities; we see this is an opportunity to bring teaching and research to the construction industry or the built environment through our collaboration with GORD.

Both organizations have agreed to strengthen joint activity through:

1.    Research in issues concerning architecture and the built environment.
2.    Education: training, courses, workshops and lectures, etc…
3.    Events: Conferences, Seminars, Symposiums.
4.    Joint Projects: to mutual agreement.
