As part of the activities marking Qatar Sustainability Week, Founding Chairman of the Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD), Dr. Yousef Alhorr, delivered an insightful presentation at the Ministry of Justice headquarters. The session was attended by His Excellency Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, Minister of Justice, and the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, along with senior leadership from the ministry.

During his address, Dr. Alhorr provided an overview of the sustainability landscape in the State of Qatar, outlining the nation’s key initiatives and progress toward achieving its climate commitments in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. He emphasized the proactive role of Qatar’s political leadership and the coordinated efforts of public and private entities working to build a climate-resilient and low-carbon future.

Dr. Alhorr also shed light on GORD’s pioneering contributions to the sustainability agenda, both within Qatar and on the global stage. He highlighted the organization’s flagship initiatives, including advancements in green building standards and low-carbon innovations, which collectively support Qatar’s transition toward a sustainable economy.
