GORD to assist in strict implementation of QSAS rating system for buildings in Lusail City

Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD), Qatar's leading research, consultancy and training institute, has announced that it has recently signed an agreement with Lusail Real Estate Development Company (LREDC) to provide the necessary resources, skills, expertise and industry experience in implementing a set of minimum measurable performances for buildings that are being built in Lusail City.

Under the agreement, GORD will assist design consultants in complying with the Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS) certification requirements and verifying the submittals required from the consultants and contractors for each QSAS criterion.

In addition to providing QSAS support services during the design stage, GORD will also extend support services during and after construction. The partnership with LREDC is part of GORD’s continuing thrust to empower key stakeholders in the construction industry to address pressing environmental challenges and ultimately promote healthy, energy and resource-efficient, and environmentally responsible building practices in Qatar and the entire Gulf region.
