GORD Signs an MoU with Al-Ta’adhod Group (GREE) to Establish Air-Conditioning Efficiency Assessment Laboratory in Qatar
The Gulf Organization for Research & Development Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Al Ta’adhod Group (GREE) that paves the way for the establishment of a new air-conditioning efficiency assessment laboratory in Qatar.
The new collaboration agreement was signed by Dr. Yousef Al-Horr, Founding Chairman of GORD, and Sheikh Faisal bin Jassim Al Thani, CEO of AlTa’adhod Group, at the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Sustainability Summit 2018 that was held last month at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Doha.
In light of the new agreement, GORD will operate a new air-conditioning efficiency assessment laboratory in Qatar that specializes in testing and assessing the efficiency of air-conditioning units in accordance with GORD’s efficiency standards.
“The establishment of the new air-conditioning efficiency assessment laboratory is a major step towards ensuring the adherence of all air-conditioning units to the highest energy efficiency standards in the world,” said Dr. Yousef Al-Horr, Founding Chairman of the Gulf Organization for Research & Development.
He also added that GORD is “proud to collaborate with Al-Ta’adhod Group and become a part of this key initiative that aims to raise awareness about energy conservation and promote best sustainability practices.”
Commenting on the signing of the new agreement, Shaikh Faisal bin Jassim Al Thani, CEO of Al-Ta’adhod Group, said “our collaboration with GORD clearly reflects our joint mission to promote sustainability and energy conservation.”
He also added that the new agreement inspires everyone at Al-Ta’adhod Group to develop their products more efficiently, as they continue developing their products in order to meet GORD’s highest energy efficiency standards.
