The Gulf Organsation for Research and Development’s (GORD) in its capacity as the authorized entity leading the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Qatar Chapter, has successfully concluded its first AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM) training program of 2025. Organized by GORD Academy, the intensive four-day program, held from February 17 to 20, 2025, was joined by 10 professionals.

The training provided comprehensive knowledge and skills in energy management, covering critical areas such as energy auditing, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices. The course was structured to focus on practical approaches that can be implemented to enhance energy performance.

Throughout the training program, participants were actively engaged in interactive sessions, practical exercises, and case studies, all led by expert energy professionals from GORD. The hands-on learning approach provided attendees with real-world insights and problem-solving skills to address the complex challenges in energy management.

Following the completion of the training, the participants will soon take the CEM certification examination. Those who pass the exam will receive the prestigious CEM certification from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), which will grant them international recognition as certified energy management experts.

GORD, in collaboration with the AEE Qatar Chapter, remains the sole entity authorized to conduct AEE training programs in Qatar. In addition to the CEM training, GORD Academy also offers other AEE-certified courses such as the AEE Certified Renewable Energy Professional (REP) and the Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) programs. The latest CEM workshop advances GORD's ongoing efforts to build capacity and expertise in energy management within Qatar.
