The Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD) welcomed a delegation from Saudi Arabia, consisting of six members from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO). During their visit, GORD Academy hosted a three-day workshop focused on promoting sustainability in the construction phase of projects pursuing Construction Management certification under the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS). The workshop, held at Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), is part of GORD’s ongoing initiative to support green building practices in line with the GSAS framework.

The primary goal of the GSAS Construction Management Certified Green Professional (GSAS-CM CGP) workshop was to equip SASO representatives with the knowledge and skills required to attain GSAS Construction Management certification for their projects. Completion of the workshop authorized the attendees to work as Certified Green Professionals (CGPs) for Construction Management on GSAS projects.

The workshop covered a range of strategies to minimize the environmental impact of construction activities, such as dust control, noise reduction, energy and water efficiency, site safety improvements, better labor conditions, and effective waste management practices. The event concluded with a site visit, offering participants practical exposure to sustainability best practices in real-world construction settings.
