The Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD), represented by its Center of Excellence GORD 3D, participated in the Reverse Engineering and Additive Manufacturing (ReAM) Show 2025 as the official Innovation Partner. The event, held in Dubai, brought together global leaders from oil & gas, aerospace, defense, healthcare, and construction to explore advancements in 3D printing, innovative materials, and next-generation manufacturing technologies.

The show commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Yousef Alhorr, Founding Chairman of GORD, who spoke on the future of additive manufacturing (AM) in the Middle East. In his address, Dr. Alhorr highlighted the transformative role of reverse engineering and additive manufacturing in building sustainable, self-sufficient supply chains while advancing regional climate resilience.

“Every time we replace a linear ‘take–make–dispose’ cycle with a smarter, climate-positive solution, we move closer to a truly circular economy—one where efficiency and sustainability are inseparable from innovation,” said Dr. Alhorr, underscoring GORD’s mission to merge sustainability with industrial innovation.

At the heart of GORD’s participation was GORD 3D, the first-of-its-kind 3D printing center in Qatar and the wider region. The state-of-the-art facility combines nine distinct additive manufacturing technologies and six core services to deliver end-to-end solutions tailored to complex industrial needs. The Center also maintains DNV certifications and applies rigorous quality control mechanisms to ensure compliance with global standards.
