Egypt’s GV eyes collaboration with GORD for sustainable solutions
Senior executives from Egypt's GV Investments Group visited the Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD) headquarters in order to leverage GORD's sustainable solutions for Egypt's megaprojects. The delegation, led by GV Chairman, Mr. Sherif Hamouda, explored GORD's services and solutions for incorporation in Tarboul City project, dubbed the largest industrial “Green, Smart, Liveable” city developed in Egypt.
During the visit, GV representatives were greeted by GORD’s top management, including its founding chairman, Dr. Yousef Alhorr. Apart from getting acquainted with GORD's green innovations, GV representatives toured the host entity’s RDI facility, called TechnoHub – a state-of-the-art scientific facility that aims to research, assess, develop, and promote affordable, clean, and efficient sustainable technologies and solutions.
Speaking about the prospects of working on GV projects in the future, Dr. Yousef Alhorr said, “At GORD, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive sustainable development and innovation. Our initial discussions with GV Investments Group have been extremely fruitful and hint towards joint projects that are sustainable and beneficial for communities and the environment. From green building certifications to RDI, we look forward to collaborating with GV on diverse initiatives that leave a positive impact to support climate action."
Mr. Sherif Hamouda said, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to visit GORD and learn about their cutting-edge solutions and services. We are confident that GORD's expertise and experience in environmental sustainability will help us achieve our climate goals and create world-class developments that are also ecologically responsible."
Dr. Yasser Askar, Group Chief Technical Officer of GV, said, “We came here to understand more about GORD’s activities, and this visit opened many mutually beneficial opportunities for future cooperation between the two entities." Dr. Askar added that GV is eyeing the implementation of GORD’s Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) on various projects and looks forward to investing in GORD Institute’s RDI projects.
