The Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) recently showcased its leadership in sustainable development and carbon markets as the Green Innovation Partner at the Global Water, Energy and Climate Change Congress (GWECCC) in Bahrain. The event brought together global leaders to tackle pressing environmental issues.

Representing GORD’s leadership, Yousef Alhorr, Founding Chairman, joined the event as a member of GWECCC’s steering committee. In addition to GORD’s participation, its affiliate, the Global Carbon Council (GCC), joined the congress as the Carbon Markets Partner. GCC led a half-day workshop titled “Carbon Market Infrastructure: Catalyzing Circular Economy & Article 6.2 Operationalization.” The workshop provided attendees with critical knowledge on the rapidly evolving landscape of carbon finance and markets.
