Concentrating photovoltaic systems make use of a large area of lenses or mirrors in order to focus sunlight on a small area of photovoltaic cells. GORD Institute is testing a dual-axis tracking enhanced-design, low cost concentration PV systems. The large 7.65m diameter Dish is  equipped with triple junction CPV cells. The system can produce a maximum of 13 kW electric with triple junction CPV cells. The field test will provide solutions to the limitations of focusing, tracking and cooling equipment.
