Kahramaa sees great potential in GORD's QCool
Close cooperation was discussed between Gulf Organisation for Research and Development (GORD) and Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) during a visit of GORD office and research facility Technohub by Eng. Ibrahim Mohammed A. Al Sada, Manager District Cooling Services at Kahramaa on Sunday, 4th December, 2016..
Welcoming the Kahramma representative, Dr. Yousef Alhorr, Founding Chairman of GORD commented:
We truly value our working relationship with Kahramaa and we are thankful to them for supporting innovative solutions and in particular their strong support for the first Qatari patent Air Conditioning system QCOOL.
During the visit, the guests were presented about QCOOL, an innovative smart patented air conditioning system by (GORD), which is a fully integrated and controlled ventilating and air conditioning system that provides super-efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable fresh air cooling for open or enclosed spaces in moderate, hot or humid climates. The system utilizes recycled water and absorbent materials which is extracted from rejected desalination brine. With its environment-friendly features and up to 50% reduction in energy consumption compared to conventional systems, QCOOL is a breakthrough invention specially for the Gulf climate.
At this occasion, Eng. Ibrahim Al Sada, Manager District Cooling Services at Kahramma said:
This new AC system can play a key role in addressing a very big challenge we face in terms of saving of energy and water resources. We will be one of the leading countries to find such innovative sustainable solutions to the global challenges.
