FIFA underscores the role of GORD and GSAS
FIFA has released a series of publications highlighting Qatar’s efforts that went into bringing the first carbon neutral World Cup in the tournament’s history. A key part of these publications reiterated the role of the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS), selected and approved by FIFA as the green building system for the World Cup 2022™ stadiums. The football governing body has further endorsed its collaboration with GORD in releasing “case study reports that showcase the sustainable building practices implemented at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ stadium construction sites.”
