Al-Attiyah Foundation and GORD Celebrate Partnership Agreement

The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development (Al-Attiyah Foundation) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) on 12 September 2019, at the St Regis Hotel, Doha.

His Excellency Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah said “I am pleased to sign a partnership agreement with GORD to develop studies, research and projects of mutual interest.   I look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of our collaboration as both organizations work towards improving awareness and understanding of the actions required to create a sustainable future.”

Dr. Yousef Mohamed Alhorr, Founding Chairman, GORD, added, “It is a pleasure and honour for GORD to join hands with Al-Attiyah Foundation to develop capacity, conduct studies and develop projects on sustainability and climate mitigation in the region. This partnership of both the organizations will bring to the fore the rich mix of implementation experience and thought leadership for a sustainable and low-carbon economy of the region.”

Together, they share insights on ways forward to transform the built environment, future-proof our earthly resources, rethink corporate ethos and business practices, empower energy sector and industries towards a low-carbon economy, and reshape all mobility needs of the modern world.
