Afterward, all new commercial buildings and residential buildings will be brought into the new regime.

“Moreover, GSAS incorporates its standards with the new version of Qatar Construction Specification 2014 (QCS 2014) in section 7 “Green Construction”, which will provide a clear blueprint for sustainable building development in the country, helping ultimately the provision of quality of life in Qatar”, Dr. Yousef Alhorr said.
“Most of government agencies, mega-project developers, as well as semi-government institutes or organizations, had already adapted to green building practices; starting with very large projects and developments, including new cities, all the way through to commercial buildings, residential buildings, as well as civic buildings, including museums and mosques. GSAS Applied Projects are including and not limited to: Lusail City Projects, Qatar Rail (Metro), Qatar 2022 (Stadiums), Ashghal Projects (Schools & Mosques), New Port, Navy Base, and many more”, he quoted.
Dr. Alhorr extended his sincere thanks to the organizers for arranging this prestigious event.
